Skywalk is by Narrangullen Anakin, and was bred to concentrate the Rannock blood in our stock through the Witchery sire line.
Unfortunately, she was born with a "windswept" deformity, which despite veterinary intervention, never completely corrected, so although paddock sound, she will not be used under saddle. She has been retained for breeding.
Her dam Chalani Skylark is a full sister to Chalani Tempo, and Ashborns Style and Grace, and a 3/4 sister to Chalani Ripple.
Skywalk is fifth generation Chalani breeding, and goes back in direct female line to our original foundation mare Paradis. This line has produced multiple winners and Champions throughout Australia, both in hand and under saddle. They include the sires, Tempo, Mystic, and Pacesette, which Skywalk resembles incredibly.
Anakin has been an incredibly successful horse at Challenges, including placing Top Ten no less than 8 times in the Man From Snowy River Challeng, with results at Battle on the Bidgee, King of the Ranges, Lower Lakes Challenge, Sydney Equitana and many more.
Witchetty, a Rannock stallion, sired Anakin when he was 26 years old, which makes Skywalk only 2 generations down from Rannock on her sire's side. He is the sire of multiple top-level polocrosse ponies. Read their full story The Rannock Legacy available at thinkinghorsebreeder.chalani.net
