Champion ASH Mare Adelaide Royal 1987.
Multi Champion led.
ASH Soc Award of Merit for Led events, and very fast.
Her amazing constitution and soundness is
evidenced by the fact she was used as the Whipper-in’s hunting mount during the polo off season to keep her weight down, being known as the horse that would go anywhere. At the age of 20 yrs under the tutelage of stuntmaster Bill Willoughby, she was used in the making of the film ‘The Drover’s Boy’.
Foals include:
- Chalani Pinecone - Yearling Futurity winner, 1989, sold to Robert Holmes-A’Court,
(now Mt Sanford Station NT).
- Chalani Sheoak - Futurity/Maturity winner and bold eventer.
- Chalani Blackwood - Award of Merit Led, Yearling Futurity winner 1994, Maturity winner 1997, Led Adelaide Royal winner 1995, Reserve Champion Adelaide Royal 1997.
